PVC nipples mip x mip – schedule 80 size 1-1/2 by 1-3/4 inch. Gray fittings are used for sprinkler systems where an extension is needed for the sprinkler head to be above ground level. Also may be used to prevent damage to the sprinkler head. Teflon thread tape is recommended for threaded joints.
